Where do you change
after a swim?
On the beach or beside the hotel pool, is there a comfortable, private place to change out of wet swimwear? Or do you find yourself holding up a towel, using a toilet or returning to your room?
A towel can feel awkward, and a toilet is not designed for changing clothes. For hotels and beach clubs, TIGU gives guests a dedicated place to change — right where they enjoy the water.

Privacy, shaped
by a curve.
The entrance curves inward, creating a sheltered path into your own changing space. A continuous timber wall keeps the experience discreet, while the open sky connects you to the outdoors.

Made for outdoor life
TIGU can remain outdoors beyond the swimming season with an installation suited to its location. Seasonal dismantling is an option, not a requirement: its nine modular pieces can be taken apart whenever needed.

02 / MATERIALS & CRAFT
Handmade.
Board by board.
Each profiled timber board fits into the next and is individually secured to follow TIGU’s flowing form. Closely fitted boards create a continuous wall, supported by the aluminium frame. Thermal modification improves the wood’s dimensional stability, helping the fitted boards retain their shape in outdoor conditions.
Thermory Thermo-Pine
Pine modified with heat and steam, without added chemical preservatives. This reduces moisture uptake, swelling and shrinkage compared with untreated wood, and improves resistance to decay. Natural silvering changes the surface colour without reducing the timber’s strength or durability.
Powder-coated aluminium
A recyclable aluminium frame supports the timber structure, with a powder-coated finish.
Made to be kept
Designed for outdoor use through the seasons. The aluminium frame supports TIGU’s curved form, while rounded timber edges and closely fitted boards bring comfort to every detail. The installation is selected for the surface and local exposure.
Let it age naturally
If you prefer a weathered finish, allow the warm timber to develop a silver-grey patina. The colour evolves; natural silvering does not compromise strength or durability.
Keep the warm tone
To maintain a tone close to the original finish, use a UV-resistant pigmented oil suitable for thermally modified wood. Renew the finish according to the product instructions and exposure.
Make it your colour
You may paint TIGU in your own colours using water-based exterior coatings suitable for thermally modified timber. Painting is arranged by you or your chosen specialist; it is not a service provided by TIGU.

Beach sand · with a buried box
This aluminium box is needed only for installation in beach sand. Its shape was specifically developed by engineers for installation in sand. First, the aluminium box is installed within the sand. Sand fills and surrounds its open structure, acting as ballast to help stabilise the installation. The floor is then assembled and secured to the box, followed by the wall modules: TIGU is built onto this supporting structure, rather than simply placed on top. The box remains out of sight beneath the completed cabin.
Concrete & grass · no sand box
On concrete or grass, this buried sand box is not needed. TIGU’s weight and balanced form contribute to stability. It can remain installed beyond the season when the mounting is appropriate for the surface and local wind exposure. We agree the installation details with you for your site.

How does TIGU provide privacy?
The curved entrance creates an indirect path inside. The timber wall shields the changing area, while the lower clearance leaves feet visible from outside.
Can TIGU be customised?
Yes. You may arrange painting in your own colours and add a logo or initials. This work is carried out by you or your chosen specialist. TIGU does not provide painting or logo-application services. Coatings and application methods must be suitable for thermally modified timber.
How is TIGU installed?
For beach sand, first install the aluminium box within the sand, then assemble and secure the floor and wall modules onto it. Sand within and around the box acts as ballast. Concrete and grass installations do not require this sand box; their mounting is selected for the surface and local conditions.
Is TIGU a storage cabin?
TIGU is intended for changing clothes. It has no lock and is not designed for secure storage. The standard design is not wheelchair accessible.
